Job Specification: Financial & Sales Planning Analyst (SAICA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the sales team to manage product allocations and stock levels.
• Monitor stock availability and forecast demand to ensure the timely fulfilment of customer orders.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and assist in inventory planning.
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Support the sales team in executing sales strategies, promotions, and product launches.
• Ensure seamless communication between sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize stock movements.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales figures, and product forecasts.
• Perform financial reconciliations and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Review and analyse financial statements to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
• Implement internal controls and auditing processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and compliance documentation.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory and financial transactions.
• Track and analyse cost structures to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Assist in pricing strategies by analysing financial impact and market trends.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Develop financial models to support business decision-making.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Accounting undergraduate degree completed (SAICA accredited).
  • SAICA articles completed.
• Experience & Skills:
  • Proven experience in a planning, inventory management, or auditing clerk role, ideally within a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and financial data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for meticulous planning and financial accuracy.
• Other Requirements:
  • Own car and valid drivers license (transport required for the role).
  • Must be able to work in-office (not hybrid) with flexible hours based on candidate needs.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:

• Market-related salary and depending on experience: Roughly R28,000 R32,000 per month.
