<p>A leading hotel in Cape Town is seeking a Front Office Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management of the Front Office department. This role requires a strong leader who can deliver seamless guest service, manage and motivate a team, and ensure the highest standards of hospitality are consistently achieved.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in front office operations, excellent people management skills, and a proactive approach to enhancing both guest and team experiences.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office, Reception, Concierge, and Guest Relations teams.</p><p>Ensure smooth and efficient check-in/check-out processes and exceptional guest service delivery.</p><p>Manage, train, and develop front office staff, fostering a culture of service excellence.</p><p>Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback.</p><p>Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Reservations, Sales, F&B) to ensure seamless guest experiences.</p><p>Control departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize profitability.</p><p>Manage front office systems, processes, and reporting.</p><p>Handle escalated guest complaints professionally and effectively.</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>Minimum 35 years of front office leadership experience in a reputable or branded hotel.</p><p>Strong understanding of front office systems (Opera or similar PMS preferred).</p><p>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</p><p>Guest-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations.</p><p>Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.</p><p>Ability to manage pressure, resolve conflicts, and make sound operational decisions.</p><p>Hospitality qualification or equivalent experience advantageous.</p>
