Job Summary

We are seeking a Newly Qualified CA(SA) to join this team, in this role, you will support the continuous effort to digitise and enhance the overall finance function. You will focus on providing valuable insights to each business unit, optimising capital structures and cash management across the group, and ensuring peak performance.

Duties:

Develop and implement the group’s financial strategy in alignment with the business goals.
Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.
Manage the consolidation of financial results across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy in consolidation accounting entries and the preparation of consolidated annual financial statements.
Identify, assess, and manage financial risks across the group, including currency, interest rate, and credit risks.
Oversee tax planning strategies to optimize the group’s tax position, managing relationships with tax authorities, and ensuring accurate tax computations.
Manage the group’s liquidity, cash flow, and working capital requirements, including treasury management and capital adequacy returns for regulated entities.
Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
Drive digitization initiatives, integrating financial systems and data to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
Lead or participate in strategic projects, including process improvements, corporate events, special situations, and product considerations.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Finance
BCom Honours
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed SAICA Articles
Must have Financial Services exposure
SQL Server Management Studio experience, IFRS and Power BI experience is beneficial

Must have a learning attitude
