Job Summary
Responsibilities:
-
Ensure the availability of materials to meet production demands
-
Coordinate with supervisors and internal stakeholders on production requirements
-
Create and distribute work orders and production schedules
-
Revise schedules as needed based on operational changes
-
Plan production timetables aligned with sales forecasts
-
Capture and maintain production data
-
Provide supporting documentation for delays or cost changes
-
Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a production planning role
-
Proven experience as a planner in a plastics manufacturing environment (essential)
-
Proficient in JDE systems (scheduler, work order reconciliation, MRP, MRP11)
-
Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities
-
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-
High accuracy and critical thinking
-
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
-
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
-
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
