About the Role

Profile Personnel, a well-established company based in East London, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter Artisan to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining their automatic hydraulic brick manufacturing plant, working 5/6 days a week, 18 hours a day, requiring flexibility and a commitment to ensuring maximum equipment uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance tasks on hydraulic systems, machinery, and auxiliary plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults, minimising downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring.
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the planned maintenance system.
  • Assist with project work and upgrades as required.

Requirements

  • Qualified Fitter Artisan (Trade Test Certificate).
  • N3 mechanical certificate.
  • Extensive experience in planned maintenance.
  • Previous experience in the brick manufacturing industry beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of automated hydraulic systems and machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
