Job Description
Our Client in the Water Treatment Services Industry is seeking to employ a Plant Manager to their team based in the Cape Town .
Requirements:
- Relevant Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification in Water Treatment, Civil, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- DWS Class V Process Controller certification.
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable operational, maintenance, and management experience at a Class B or higher wastewater treatment works.
- Skilled in water and wastewater management.
- Proven management experience with a record of successful performance.
- Strong understanding of process control, compliance, and safety regulations.
- High computer literacy, including MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, databases, and Outlook.
- Mechanical and analytical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Manage all plant operations, maintenance, and day-to-day activities, including shift management, staff coordination, and handovers.
- Maintain effective administration and control procedures to achieve performance objectives.
- Optimize the use of financial resources by minimizing costs through appropriate financial controls.
- Monitor and maintain accurate and up-to-date operational and maintenance records.
- Report on all aspects of plant performance, compliance, and processes.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure employees meet performance objectives.
- Ensure client satisfaction through professional service delivery and high-quality standards.
- Control budgets and ensure all contractual requirements are met within financial limits.
- Manage and maintain ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and 18001 systems and work procedures.
- Monitor quality control according to predetermined schedules.
- Compile monthly plant progress reports and attend client meetings.
- Maintain effective client liaison and correspondence.
