About the Role

As an External Sales Representative with People Dimension, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within the Cape Town area. Your primary responsibility will be to build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to customer requests for pricing, quotations, and invoicing, and/or sending quotation and invoices to customers directly.
  • Follow up on all aspects in respect of customer orders and responses to incoming e-mails or telephone requests.
  • List the Riken product range with electrical wholesalers, OEMs, and panel builders within the Cape area.
  • Prepare a sales plan/strategy for the designated geographical area, including an understanding of the current market and competitor offerings.
  • Achieve set and approved monthly sales targets and overall gross profit margin as per the annual sales budget.
  • Maintain and expand customer databases within the designated area on a monthly basis.
  • Build customer base through prospective leads via cold calling or referrals.
  • Attend to and support customer concerns and requests related to sales, product, and technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge of Riken’s product offering and attend formal training if required.
  • Handle technical product complaints on behalf of the company and keep Management updated on resolutions.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships with customers in the designated area.
  • Continuously improve sales performance through regular feedback to Management.

Requirements

  • Good experience in the low voltage electrical industry.
  • Established customer base and good relationships with key customers in the area.
  • Excellent technical knowledge as an experienced sales representative.
  • Electrical sales experience in a wholesaler or as an electrician/contractor.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
