Job Summary
Hire Resolve`s client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Category Manager to join their team in the Chemical Industry in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, specifically within the chemical industry, and a proven track record of effectively managing supplier relationships and driving cost savings.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement category strategies to optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings within the chemical industry
– Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing
– Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
– Evaluate supplier performance based on key performance indicators and develop action plans to address any issues
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies to meet those needs
– Monitor and track procurement metrics to ensure goals are being met and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
– Bachelor`s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the chemical industry
– Must have experience with procurement of oil and gas
– Strong negotiation and communication skills
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software
