About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified Executive Housekeeper to take charge of the housekeeping department at a premier 4* property located strategically close to Cape Town International Airport. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where efficiency and turn-around times are as critical as impeccable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and inspire the housekeeping team to maintain consistent 4* standards in a high-traffic environment.
- Full oversight of laundry operations, ensuring cost-efficiency and a steady supply of pristine linen.
- Work closely with the front office and reservations to manage room availability and quick turn-arounds effectively.
- Maintain a rigorous inspection schedule for all guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensure that every traveler, whether staying for a night or a week, receives exceptional service and a spotless environment.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an Executive Housekeeper within the 4* hospitality sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of in-house laundry management and chemical safety.
- A firm but fair leader who can manage staff performance, training, and development.
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (e.g. Matric, Diploma, or degree in Hospitality Management).
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: R27,000. Performance Incentive: KPI-driven bonus (Potential for 100% of monthly salary based on performance). Retirement: Comprehensive Provident Fund (6% Employee & 6% Employer contribution). Health: 50% Discovery Medical Aid contribution. Bonus: 13th Cheque (at Owner’s Discretion).
