About the Role
The Cape Town Lodge Hotel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Front Desk Duty Manager to join our team. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences, maintaining high standards of hotel operations, and leading a dedicated team to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Greets and assists all hotel guests with day-to-day operations.
- Assists in arrival and departures at the reception desk.
- Checks cleanliness of hotel and public areas, lights, and front office staff in proper and orderly appearance and behavior.
- Responsible for accurate and professional shift handovers.
- Prepares and checks all arrivals and assists should a guest need to be escorted to their room.
- Co-ordinates with all departments concerned in order to maintain smooth day-to-day operations in the hotel.
- Checks groups in, ensure switchboard carries out professional & appropriate wake-up calls to guests that request this service.
- Handles guest complaints and other related daily problems and reports back to the General Manager on all such matters.
- Assists reception, business centre, cashier, concierge and porters during a busy shift.
- Promotes and maintains good public and staff relations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 Years as a Duty Manager in a 4-Star Hotel.
- Excellent eye for attention to detail.
- Firm and assertive with the ability to make good business decisions.
- Ability to implement high standards, procedures, and structures.
- Savvy on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Training.
- Team leader with respect from a dedicated team at the hotel.
- Own transport is essential for this position.
- Must be able to communicate in English & Afrikaans writing and speaking.
- Person of sober and honest habits.
