About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Chef to join our upmarket casual restaurant team in Mauritius. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs and cooks to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of chefs and cooks to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop and implement menus that showcase local flavors with international flair
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supply chain logistics
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Head Chef in an upmarket casual restaurant setting
- Proven track record of success in managing high-pressure kitchen environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- International experience is highly desirable
Qualifications
- Formal education in Culinary Arts or related field (e.g. Bachelors degree)
Salary & Benefits
- R45,000 – R55,000 per annum, inclusive of flight and accommodation
