Weylandts Furniture Creations is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented INVENTORY CONTROLLER to join our WFCF team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing and controlling the inventory of materials, supplies and tools, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet production needs while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. You will report to the Procurement & Inventory Manager. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a formal and transparent system for tracking inventory, tools, and consumables. Implement and oversee a clear sign-in/sign-out process for all issued items. Capture and update all stock movements on the ERP system; ensure accurate data on stock usage and replenishment. Receive, store, and issue inventory in accordance with company procedures. Organize and store materials systematically to maximize space and ensure proper handling and storage of goods. Ensure all stock items are clearly labelled, neatly packed, and easily accessible. Monitor and manage stock levels to align with production requirements, including verification of deliveries against documentation. Collaborate closely with the WFC production team to ensure material availability and timely supply. Conduct daily stock checks, investigate and report discrepancies, and assist with stocktakes and cycle counts. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment as required. Ensure all stock handling and storage practices comply with health, safety, and housekeeping standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory control, storage efficiency, and overall store management. Skills Required: Grade 12 (essential) Certification in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Logistics or Industrial Engineer (advantageous) Proven experience as a storeman and/or manufacturing environment (advantageous) Strong understanding of inventory management systems and practices. Ability to perform physical tasks related to stock handling and storage. Behavioural Competencies: Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production and management teams. Disciplined and meticulous.
