Role Overview The Finance Content Writer is responsible for researching, structuring, and translating real-world CFO best practice into high-quality thought leadership, frameworks, and practical tools. This is not a high-volume content role. It is a research-led, insight-driven position focused on intellectual quality and commercial credibility. You will: Identify what great CFOs actually do in practice Turn research and lived experience into structured frameworks Write in the voice of senior finance leaders Build GrowCFOs body of intellectual property You will work directly with senior leadership to shape ideas into authoritative content that resonates with experienced finance professionals. Key Responsibilities 1 CFO Research & Insight Development Research best practices across different CFO contexts (growth, PE-backed, distressed, public, founder-led) Analyse reports, podcasts, studies, and community discussions Identify recurring patterns, frameworks, and decision models Follow influencers who are testing emerging AI tools and finance technology for real-world relevance Validate ideas with our CFO community Translate insight into: Structured frameworks Practical playbooks Models and templates Insight briefings 2 Thought Leadership & Content Creation Create high-quality, insight-led content, including: Weekly newsletters LinkedIn thought leadership posts Webinar narratives Email campaigns Long-form insight pieces Framework explainers You will: Draft in a credible senior leadership voice Turn raw thinking or voice notes into polished content Ensure clarity, logic, and commercial sharpness Avoid generic or surface-level commentary The audience is experienced finance leaders. The standard is high. 3 Intellectual Property Development Help formalise GrowCFOs body of knowledge by: Converting recurring themes into named models and systems Creating structured frameworks from community insight Building practical tools finance leaders can apply immediately Supporting program and workshop development 4 Community Insight Mining Extract recurring themes from mentoring, events, and roundtables Identify real challenges CFOs are facing Turn community insight into structured content Ensure our content reflects lived experience, not theory Skills & Attributes Exceptional clarity in writing Strong research capability Structured thinker naturally sees patterns and frameworks Commercially sharp and strategically minded Comfortable working directly with senior leaders High intellectual standards Curious about finance, leadership, and business performance Able to simplify complexity without oversimplifying What This Role Is and Is Not This role is: Research-led Insight-driven Framework-focused High-autonomy High-impact This role is not: A social media manager position A campaign execution role A graphic design role A volume content production job Why This Role Matters GrowCFOs reputation is built on intellectual credibility.
