Requirements:
Financial degree/qualification beneficial At least 5-10 years` experience as a Senior Bookkeeper at a Law Firm Non-negotiable software proficiency required: AJS Accounting software (Cloud); MS Office Suite; Pastel Payroll Full payroll Commission calculations Statutory returns – EMP 201`s, VAT 201`s and annual reconciliations Annual financial statement preparation, including trust audit and queries All Auditor dealings Full control of general ledger and trust ledgers Monthly management account reporting, cash flow projections, etc. Handling of all accounting matters related to group loans company Fidelity fund applications and LPC dealings All banking profile related matters Processing of all required journals Director tax calculations Investment reconciliations Dealing with L&D`s for Deceased Estates, and related matters Annual workmen`s compensation – annual payment and submission Control over RAF settlement lists, fee income and RAF liaison Management of Attorney trust and investment lists Management of experts accounts control Managing of finalisation of claims settled, payouts to clients, experts, etc. General and specific management control over all financial aspects and controls in place in the business Assist with queries from attorneys, secretaries, clients, etc. Management of finance team Overall finance function responsibility Clear credit and criminal record Consultant: Stephnie Taljaard – Dante Personnel Cape Town
