About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Cape Town, Milnerton. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for meeting and assisting customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and assist customers by handling enquiries in person, telephonically, and via email
- Assess customer needs and provide informed product or service recommendations
- Actively engage with clients to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Interpret plans or conduct site visits to obtain accurate measurements for sales purposes
- Negotiate terms and successfully conclude sales agreements
- Manage and process customer orders from placement through completion
- Handle and oversee the invoicing process accurately and efficiently
- Work towards and consistently achieve monthly performance targets
- Assist with stock management and stocktaking as required
- Provide support across different areas of the business to build skills and contribute to overall growth
- Carry out general administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Matric, or relevant qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in the home finishing, construction, or retail industry
- A proven and consistent sales track record is essential
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- Naturally technically minded, with the ability to read and measure plans and navigate a building site confidently
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Valid driver’s license
