Job Description
The Communications department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, reliable individual to join their team. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with installation, wiring and mounting of various electronic devices, machines or equipment
- Installation and wiring of access control systems, CCTV cameras and motorized entrance points
- Installation, fault finding, relocation and fitment of all telecommunications
- Fitting of data cables for all network points and power skirting
- Assist in moving offices and setting up PCs, Phone lines, and moving files
- Mounting, wiring and fitting grids for wireless infrastructure
- Day to day maintenance ,installation and servicing of security equipment
- Tool and equipment maintenance
- Adhoc activities as requested by Manager/Team Leader
- Housekeeping
- Understanding of and abiding by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Qualifying Criteria
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience working within an electronic security field
- Basic electric/electronic ,CCTV or alarm courses
- Basic camera ,alarm, automation ,data cabling ,electric fencing ,230V electricity knowledge
- Knowledge and experience working with power tools
- Valid drivers license or actively in the process of obtaining a drivers license
- Must be prepared to work overtime when required
