We are seeking an experienced Senior Test analyst, responsible for the development of test cases to verify the functionality of the Digital platform based on the systems and business functional requirements. Also responsible for linking test cases to business/systems requirements to ensure traceability. Provide input into and execute automated test scripts and working towards automation testing. Will also execute test cases, log defects and the creation of testware. In order to support the significant growth and development of essential systems within Digital domain, which supports the entire goup, we are hiring a passionate Test Analyst to work on a variety of complex technologies.

 Duties:

Test Strategy/approach/plan

• • Develops test plan, approach and scope
  • Provide test estimates for project & incidents
  • Provides input to continuously improve test methodology
  • Establishes and implements approach for managing test data
• Provide guidance to a team of automation test analysts in the Digital environment and liaise with contracted test service supplier(s) to ensure effective prioritization, planning and delivery of test results and reporting
• Carry out quality assurance procedures to ensure that all digital tools and services meet and/or exceed the minimum organization standards and end-user requirements
• Provide input into and collaborate with, performance testing, device testing, penetration testing and user acceptance testing to ensure standards and requirements are met

Requirements Management 

• Reviews functional requirements
• Analyse requirements for completeness, correctness and clarity, to drive the testing effort  
• Has a clear grasp of capabilities that business wants to establish to shape scenarios.

Developing Test Scenarios  

• Defines test scenarios
• Test Case Design (Manual and Automated) 
• Develops test cases with end to end functionality
• Define test targets
• Define objectives with manager
• Analyses and develops the proper test coverage and test case reviews with the Business Analyst
• Traces requirements to test cases to verify test coverage.

Test Execution 

• Manage own test preparation and execution activities
• Identify and create necessary test data
• Executes scenario based test cases
• Analyse metrics for quality assessment

Reporting        

• Traces coverage and clearance
• Provides input to standard test metrics and reporting (Manual & Automation)
• Works within the project team and test team to address issues and report status
• Defect Management
  • Debug the development and execution of test scripts against test targets
  • Analyse test failures
  • Priorities defects logged with development team.
• Test Automation
  • Provide input into Test Automation scripts as part of regression test
  • Recommend opportunities to automate testing
• User Acceptance Testing:
  • Work with Business Analyst to influence and monitor User Acceptance Testing
  • Provide guidance to a team of automation test analysts in the Digital environment and liaise with contracted test service supplier(s) to ensure effective prioritization, planning and delivery of test results and reporting

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years relevant testing experience (encompassing the skills and knowledge listed below)
• Testing certification (ISTQB – Test Analyst, Automation Test Analyst or similar) will be an advantage
• Preference will be given to candidates with proven automation experience
• Experience in software testing including methodologies (agile, functional and non-functional), test planning, test case development, execution, and quality assessment of test cases
• Experience with using the following tools: Jira, Bamboo, IntelliJ – Java, Appium, Postman, Bitbucket, Allure, XCUITEST, Maven, TestNG, Selenium, SQL and database query tools, MS office
• Experience in working with Agile (Scrum) methodology
• Extensive experience developing test cases and test scenarios from story cards/use cases and/or requirements specifications
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Possesses good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC and the TDLC
• Understands test metrics and how they are used for decision support
• Understands development practices and structures, SQL & database query tools
• Has experience with Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management Tools. Understanding of automated testing principles and procedures will be an added advantage
• Experience with working in project environments for large organisations, including working on multiple projects simultaneously and balancing delivery aspects across projects
