Job Summary
Highly pressurized distribution company is seeking a highly experience Warehouse / Branch Manger to perform the following:
- Offer support to cross-functional teams (i.e., Admin/HR/Compliance/Finance/Operations) in Head Office and nationally to increase productivity and supplier/customer satisfaction.
- Retain strong leadership and interpersonal skills and advance strategic plans and purchases/sales/quantity collected objectives set forth by Owners/Senior Management.
- Administer policies to keep budget low with regards to operations, maintenance, and labour costs.
- Plan, organize and direct resource distribution operations to ensure optimal return on investment for the company through overseeing branchs collectors/drivers, their daily routes, weekly collections quantities and collection performance reports as well as through overseeing quantities obtained from bulk suppliers into the site-specific warehouse.
Requirements
- Must be in possession of a valid drivers license suitable to the vehicle being used.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must be in good health for the demands of the workplace environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects/loads.
- Ability to work long hours, including road trips.
- Ability to work long hours standing, bending, stooping.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management and co-workers.
- Must be able to work in a team and to get along with others over a long time and work collaboratively.
- Must be able to maintain a professional relationship with co-workers/suppliers/clients.
- Must be reliable and pay great attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and organization skills.
- Must be able to work in a goal driven environment and under strict deadlines.
- Must be well versed with the safety and quality standards followed in the warehouse/store setting.
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English
