Yabonga Childrens Project is a Cape Town-based NGO supporting vulnerable children and youth affected by socioeconomic challenges and HIV. With 100 staff supporting 1,000 children, we seek a General Manager to lead this dynamic team.Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to uplift children, empower women, and strengthen families; overseeing programmes such as Community Mothers, the Childrens Centre and the Respite Programme; building and maintaining donor relationships, managing fundraising efforts, and ensuring 100% of donations go directly to supporting children; and motivating staff to achieve organisational goals.Essential skills include proven non-profit management experience (preferably in child welfare or community development), strong leadership and team motivation, strategic planning, communication and stakeholder engagement, financial management, and a valid drivers licence with own transport.Desirable qualities include a passion for child welfare, experience in community development, and the ability to collaborate with donors, government, and partners.
