About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a skilled Centurion: Civil Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing and developing transmission and distribution line projects using PLS-CADD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience in transmission or distribution line engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop transmission and distribution line projects using PLS-CADD
  • Perform route selection, line profiling, tower spotting, and clearance analysis
  • Conduct structural and civil design calculations for overhead line infrastructure
  • Prepare technical drawings, reports, specifications, and construction documentation
  • Coordinate with electrical, structural, and project engineering teams
  • Ensure designs comply with Eskom, IEC, and relevant international standards
  • Assist with site inspections, feasibility studies, and project implementation support
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
  • Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction

Requirements

  • BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in transmission or distribution line engineering
  • Proficient in PLS-CADD and related transmission line design tools
  • Experience with overhead line design and utility infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards and engineering practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
