About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town City Centre. Key Responsibilities
- Develop information systems by designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigate problem areas and follow the software development lifecycle.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Accomplish the engineering and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BSc Honours Degree in the appropriate field of study.
- 0-2 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Preference will be given if you finished within the top 10% of your class.
- Experience with Full Stack development (Tech Stack below).
- Knowledge of best software engineering practices, including Agile software development.
- Knowledge of RESTful API web services.
- Knowledge of Clean Code principles.
