We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town City Centre. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop information systems by designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Investigate problem areas and follow the software development lifecycle.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Accomplish the engineering and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BSc Honours Degree in the appropriate field of study.
  • 0-2 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Preference will be given if you finished within the top 10% of your class.
  • Experience with Full Stack development (Tech Stack below).
  • Knowledge of best software engineering practices, including Agile software development.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API web services.
  • Knowledge of Clean Code principles.
