Cape Winelands: Accountant

Minimum Requirements: Accounting Degree Articles or Accounting Degree 3 years solid accounting experience Cost accounting experience Advanced Excel Exposure/experience with forex transactions Duties and Responsibilities: Handle everyday money transactions (like bills, money owed to us, and ledger updates). Make sure payments to suppliers and within the company are correct and on time. Check bank accounts daily to make sure they match our records. Help predict how much cash the company will have and plan for it. Create and explain monthly money reports. Help with closing the books at the end of each month and year. Keep track of and report on financial hedging (like future currency deals). Combine financial information from different parts of the company. Reconcile any money transfers between different company parts. Keep good records for all combined financial accounts. Help with checks by outside auditors. Look for ways to make financial tasks and systems better.
