About the Role
The Candidate Fire Engineer/Centurion role is a critical position that requires expertise in designing, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure compliance with local and national codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine fire protection needs
- Design and develop fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for fire protection systems
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire safety measures
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire protection technology
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients
Requirements
- SAQCC on both handheld and detection
- 3-5 years as a Fire Technician/Supervisor
- Strong technical knowledge
- Familiarity with all systems and different products
- Proficient communication (both verbally and in writing)
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Implementation & Compliance with all relevant acts
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
