About the Role
The Civil Engineering Technician will play a crucial role in preparing and producing technical drawings for civil engineering projects under the guidance of experienced Design Civil Engineers/Senior Civil Engineers. They will be responsible for collaborating with engineers, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and schemes for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and other professionals to develop design concepts and incorporate changes.
- Revise drawings based on feedback, design changes, and project specifications.
- Distribute drawings to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing documentation for permits and project approvals (e.g., wayleaves, municipal/department drawing approvals).
- Conduct site visits to gather data and verify conditions against drawings.
Requirements
- Strong technical drawing skills using AutoCAD software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
