Centurion: Direct/ Technical Sales

Education Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar) or a related technical field. Alternatively, a Diploma with significant relevant technical experience might sometimes be acceptable. Technical Knowledge Understanding of the products or systems being sold e.g. instrumentation, automation, pumps, electronics, solar systems, etc. Ability to read/interact with technical drawings, specifications. Familiarity with the industrys norms / regulations / standards. Experience Previous experience in technical/engineering sales, direct sales, or business development. Experience in the specific sector (mining, automation, electronics, solar, test & measurement, etc.) is a big plus. Track record of meeting sales targets. Skills Strong communication skills (written & verbal) able to explain technical detail to non‐technical clients. Negotiation skills. Presentation skills / Public speaking. Problem solving ability to come up with solutions tailored to customer needs. Time management, ability to prioritize. Ability to work independently and in a team. Other Requirements Valid drivers license; own transport if required to travel to client sites. Willingness to travel (locally, possibly internationally). Proficient computer skills (office tools, CRM tools, possibly CAD or technical software, depending on the product). Good understanding of market competition.
