Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Full finance function for multiple legal entities within the group
- Monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis
- Preparation of group financial statements
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned to operational targets
- Oversight of general ledger, journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Compliance & Statutory Reporting
- Ensure compliance with:
- SARS (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
- Companies Act and CIPC requirements
- IFRS for SMEs
- Maintain sound financial controls and governance across entities
- Training contracts and learnership funding
- Skills development projects and cost allocations
- Revenue recognition for training programmes
- Cost tracking per project, learner, and SETA contract
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Cash flow management across group entities
- Payments, supplier management, and creditor controls
- Debtors’ management, invoicing, and collections
- Banking relationships and payment platforms
Team & Systems Management
- Management and mentorship of finance staff (accountants, clerks, payroll)
- Maintain and optimise accounting systems (Xero, Join, Payspace)
- Implement and improve financial policies, procedures, and controls
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting / Financial Management (essential)
- Professional qualification, but to requirement: CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA, or similar
Experience
- 5–8+ years finance experience, with at least:
- 3+ years in a Finance Manager / Senior Accountant role
