Role Purpose: Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their finance department. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in full bookkeeping and accounting functions up to Trial Balance, along with advanced Excel skills and a proven track record of financial accuracy and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance. Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Maintain general ledgers and prepare monthly management accounts. Oversee bank reconciliations and cashbook entries. Process journals, accruals, and adjustments. Prepare VAT and other statutory submissions. Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Support auditors and ensure accurate record-keeping. Implement and maintain internal controls and best accounting practices. Role Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) essential. Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advantageous). Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar bookkeeping/accounting role. Proven experience in full function accounting up to Trial Balance . Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
