Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Develop common and reusable HDL library building blocks based on industry standards.
- Design high-speed digital hardware using technologies such as FPGA SoCs.
- Create test environments using tools like ModelSim and XJTAG.
- Maintain development documentation according to hardware development processes, including requirements, design descriptions, and test documentation.
- Manage configuration and version control of baselines using GIT.
- Collaborate with project management teams to provide progress updates and adhere to schedules.
Technologies & Tools You’ll Work With:
- Design Technologies: Xilinx, Microsemi, Intel/Altera FPGA, and SoCs.
- Interfaces: High-speed serial, CAN, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, DDR Memory.
- Development Tools: Vivado, LiberoSoC, Quartus Prime, HDL Designer, ModelSim, QuestaSim, HyperLynx, Mentor Designer, XJTAG Developer, LTSpice (analog simulations).
- Requirements Management: DOORS.
Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart:
- High-speed A2D interfacing to FPGAs and transceivers.
- Firmware design focused on radar and electronic warfare.
- Experience with Xilinx RFSOC, analog design, fiber communication, EMI design concepts, and DO-254.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in hardware and firmware design, with a strong background in FPGA-based high-speed hardware design, hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging.
- Skills: Expertise in VHDL coding, industry practices, FPGA-based hardware design, test, integration, and debug.
- Qualifications: B.Eng. Degree in Electronics. Honours or Master’s degree would be advantageous.
- Personal Attributes: Leadership, autonomy, clear communication skills, enthusiasm, and an ability to meet deadlines.
