About the Role
The Centurion: SMT Engineer / SMT Process Engineer (JUKI) role at Jelocorp requires a highly skilled professional to take ownership of the entire SMT production process, from setup and optimization to troubleshooting and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the SMT production process end-to-end (solder paste printing, placement, reflow, inspection, rework/repair support)
- Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot JUKI pick-and-place machines (programming, feeder setup, changeovers, line balancing)
- Support production during day/night shifts, respond to downtime, and drive fast root-cause troubleshooting
- Monitor yield, defect rate, and productivity; perform fault analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Work closely with QA/QC to ensure SMT quality compliance and improvement (e.g., AOI/SPI support where applicable)
- Coordinate with maintenance/vendors for machine upkeep and spare parts; ensure preventive maintenance plans are followed
- Create/update SOPs, work instructions, and train SMT operators/technicians on best practices and EHS compliance
Requirements
- Relevant experience in SMT production process management
- Strong knowledge of JUKI pick-and-place machines and their programming
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Relevant experience in SMT production process management
- Certification in JUKI pick-and-place machines programming (optional)
