Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Pastry Chef in daily preparation and service of all pastry and dessert items

• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene

• Support with menu creation, development of new recipes, and seasonal adjustments

• Manage and train junior pastry staff, ensuring consistent output and growth

• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure cost-effective usage of ingredients

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section at all times

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal standards

• Collaborate with the broader kitchen team to ensure seamless service

Requirements:

• A relevant culinary qualification or pastry diploma preferred

• 23 years experience in a similar role in a high-end hospitality environment

• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, and plated desserts

• Creative flair and a genuine passion for baking and pastry arts

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

• Strong team player with a proactive attitude

• Willingness to live and work in a remote wilderness setting
