About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our luxury wilderness reserve in Clanwilliam, Western Cape. As a hands-on and reliable individual with strong practical skills, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards across the premium property. If you enjoy working in a remote, nature-based environment and take pride in your work, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the reserve
- Attending to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic mechanical issues
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Maintaining staff and guest areas to a high standard
- Reporting larger maintenance issues to management
- Ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are kept in good order
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably within hospitality or a lodge environment
- Good all-round practical and technical skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors when required

- Matric (or equivalent)
