Job Description
- Designing restaurant menus
- Inspecting the quality of food
- Maintaining food safety standards and regulations
- Ensuring food is prepared to the required standards
- Monitoring team performance
- Planning and directing culinary actions
- Arrange equipment purchases for kitchen
- Managing inventory
- Perform administrative duties
- Training and development employees
- Adhering to kitchen operational budgets
Key
Responsibilities:
- Oversee back of house operations
- Hire, train and manage kitchen staff
- Sets staff schedule.
- Develop recipes and menus
- Determines plating and presentation of dishes
- Orders, receives and evaluate quality of food.
- Stocking kitchen with necessary supplies
- Helps with financial planning and budgets
- Sets and implements kitchen policies and procedures
- Train and ensure staff follow food safety laws
- Interacts with guests in terms of dietary requirements
Qualifications
Matric
Diploma/ Degree in Hospitality or Culinary management
