Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Bookkeeper ensures accurate financial data record-keeping, reconciliations, and reporting across the Distribution Centers operations. The role is highly data-driven, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and analytical insight to support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliations: Perform weekly and monthly bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
Data Integrity: Maintain clean and accurate general ledgers and journals.
Reporting: Prepare monthly financial summaries, variance analyses, and cost tracking reports for management review.
Inventory Accounting: Work with operations to reconcile stock and cost data between systems.
Data Insights: Use data analysis to identify financial trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations and reports
Audit readiness and compliance scores
Reduction in data discrepancies or errors
Financial insight contributions (e.g., monthly variance explanations, cost control suggestions)

Qualifications:

Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
24 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (distribution or logistics background preferred)
Advanced Excel / data analysis certification advantageous
