Role Purpose:
The Bookkeeper ensures accurate financial data record-keeping, reconciliations, and reporting across the Distribution Centers operations. The role is highly data-driven, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and analytical insight to support financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliations: Perform weekly and monthly bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
- Data Integrity: Maintain clean and accurate general ledgers and journals.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial summaries, variance analyses, and cost tracking reports for management review.
- Inventory Accounting: Work with operations to reconcile stock and cost data between systems.
- Data Insights: Use data analysis to identify financial trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations and reports
- Audit readiness and compliance scores
- Reduction in data discrepancies or errors
- Financial insight contributions (e.g., monthly variance explanations, cost control suggestions)
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 24 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (distribution or logistics background preferred)
- Advanced Excel / data analysis certification advantageous
