About the Role
The Quality Technician (Plant) role at Abantu Staffing Solutions is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of quality management principles and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our plant operations, while also providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Quality Procedures and Work Instructions
- Maintain the Quality Assurance system for Pant specific documentation
- Ensure compliance of Quality Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
- Conduct Internal IATF System audits (1st Tier)
- Conduct Internal Process (VDA 6.3:2016) and Product audits
- CSR
- Specify supplier acceptable quality levels (AQLs) (Tolerances, drawing requirements, tooling, PPMs etc.)
- Analyse supplier performance (Product quality, special status, etc.) and make recommendations
- Notify suppliers of non-conformances and initiate corrective actions
- Investigate all Quality non-conformances and track corrective actions
- Compile PPMs and defect trends and make recommendations
- Conduct Gauge R&R assessments on all measuring systems
- Verify First-Off, Last-Off and random inspections
- Determine the disposition of quarantined products (pass, reject or rework)
- Collate and analyse company data and management reports
- Complete production part approval process (PPAP)
- Conduct FMEA
- Control Plan
- Process Flow
- Conduct MSA studies
- Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace
- Address workplace hazards and risks
- Work safely and use safety equipment
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (Maths, Science, Technical Drawing)
- National Diploma in Quality Management or related qualification
- 2+ years within the Automotive Industry in a similar role
