Durban: Engineering Director

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to accelerate project delivery and improve operational efficiency Set clear goals and align resources to meet tight deadlines and business objectives Manage facilities and key operational assets Lead project management and technical teams to execute large-scale, high-value projects quickly and effectively Oversee tender processes and ensure compliance with company standards Monitor project budgets track forecast vs actual and identify improvement opportunities Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure scope clarity and timely progress updates Maintain compliance with SHEQ standards while meeting aggressive timelines Skills & Experience 810 years senior experience in a large-scale mechanical contracting environment Proven success in delivering high-value projects within short timelines Strong commercial experience in tenders and contract negotiations Excellent leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple fast-moving projects Exceptional communication skills at an executive level Willingness to travel locally and internationally Qualifications Degree/BTech in Mechanical engineering Professional Registration is advantageous Valid, unendorsed drivers license Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
