About the Role
Our client, a leading retailer in Durban, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks that could impact the company’s strategic objectives. As an Enterprise Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization’s financial stability and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise-level risk policy formulation, risk appetite articulation, and strategic risk integration into Group planning, capital allocation, and major investment decisions.
- Develop and implement an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and supporting policies and procedures for the company.
- Design and implement Key Risk Indicators to guide senior management’s decision-making process.
- Contribute to the development of a risk culture by driving risk-related activities and providing risk response for the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or NQF Level 7 Diploma in a commerce-related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Audit).
- CA(SA), CIA, Risk Management, or equivalent certification advantageous.
- 10 years of experience in Retail/Manufacturing or Financial Services at senior management level.
- Demonstrable exposure to Executive and Board-level risk governance and strategic decision support/enabling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or NQF Level 7 Diploma in a commerce-related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Audit).
- CA(SA), CIA, Risk Management, or equivalent certification advantageous.
