Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a senior, experienced marketing leader to define and execute a group-wide marketing strategy across multiple brands, integrating both traditional and digital channels. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to develop innovative marketing strategies, inspire cross-functional teams, and drive growth and brand awareness across diverse markets.

Experience in managing multiple brands or divisions and working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is essential. A background in agency collaboration or multi-business marketing will be highly advantageous.

This role is based full-time in the office in Umhlanga, Durban.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development and execution of group-wide and individual brand marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.

  • Set strategic priorities for Heads of Department and ensure all departmental goals support business growth.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across product, operations, customer support, and other functions to implement integrated marketing initiatives.

Brand Development & Positioning:

  • Define and maintain brand positioning across multiple markets, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone while adapting to local nuances.

  • Build brand awareness, loyalty, and reputation across existing and new markets.

Customer Acquisition & Retention:

  • Oversee campaigns aimed at acquisition, retargeting, and retention across both digital and traditional channels.

  • Optimize customer journeys from awareness to conversion and long-term loyalty.

Market Analysis & Insights:

  • Lead market research and consumer insights initiatives to guide data-driven decision-making.

  • Continuously analyze competitors, market trends, and customer behavior to maintain a competitive edge.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing, multi-disciplinary marketing team across brands and regions.

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation across all marketing functions.

  • Establish KPIs, provide performance guidance, and ensure a culture of excellence.

Campaign & Digital Excellence:

  • Conceptualize and oversee 360-degree campaigns across both traditional and digital channels, including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, programmatic, and content strategy.

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.

  • A valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle.
