Durban North: Accountant posted by Network Finance

Our client is a respected international organisation with a strong footprint in the logistics and shipping solutions industry. They are seeking an Accountant who will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational teams, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the full accounting function, including general ledger, reconciliations, and journals
• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management
• Monitoring cost controls and providing variance analysis with actionable insights
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements
• Supporting external audits and liaising with auditors
• Driving efficiencies through process improvements and system enhancements

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ accounting experience within a  or logistics environment
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across departments
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
