Durban: Qualified Carpenter (Trade Tested)

Minimum Requirements Qualified Carpenter with a recognised Trade Test Certificate Minimum 35 years experience in a construction environment Proven experience in formwork, roofing, and finishing carpentry Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Sound knowledge of building regulations and safety standards Physically fit and able to work on construction sites Valid drivers licence (advantageous) Own basic carpentry tools (advantageous) Key Responsibilities Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures , including: Roof trusses and frameworks Doors, windows, and frames Flooring, decking, and staircases Formwork for concrete structures Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials accurately Install fixtures and fittings according to building regulations Ensure work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely Work closely with foremen, site supervisors, and other trades on site Maintain a clean and safe working environment Identify and report material shortages or defects Adhere to project timelines and productivity targets How to Apply:
