About the Role
The Regional Finance Manager role is ideal for a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in operational, multi-site environments and enjoys partnering closely with regional leadership to drive financial performance, compliance and discipline across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full finance function across multiple branches
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, flash results and variance analysis
- Ensure accurate and timeous month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze income statements and balance sheets, providing meaningful insights
- Manage statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, income tax, etc.)
- Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare audit packs
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the region
- Review payroll preparation and authorise payments
- Conduct stock and inventory reconciliations and attend branch stock takes
- Manage working capital, including debtors reviews and cash flow
- Partner with General Managers and Regional Executives through financial reviews
- Train and support branch administrative teams
- Travel regularly within the region for audits, reviews and operational support
- Provide ad hoc reporting and strategic finance support
Requirements
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience in a financial management role
- Proven experience in regional, multi-branch or operational environments
- Strong background in audit, compliance and operational finance
- Advanced ERP system exposure and strong MS Excel skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region
