About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BIM Modeller to join our team in Stellenbosch, South Africa. As a key member of our MEP design team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex 3D models using industry-standard software. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination with architectural and structural models, resulting in accurate and clash-free designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain MEP BIM models using industry-standard software.
- Produce detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation for building services systems.
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural models to detect and resolve clashes.
- Generate shop drawings, layouts, and schedules from BIM models.
- Ensure that models comply with BIM standards, project requirements, and company guidelines.
- Assist engineers with design visualization and during model-based coordination meetings.
- Update models based on design changes and site feedback.
- Support project teams with data extraction and model documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- 25 years’ experience as a BIM Modeller in an MEP or building services environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, and plumbing).
- Experience with clash detection and coordination workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
