Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join their team as a Senior Manager in the Logistics Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all logistical operations within the company’s KwaZulu-Natal branch, ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods and products.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations and minimize costs.
Oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply and minimize excess stock.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Analyze and report on key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior logistics management role within the transportation/warehouse/logistics industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Solid understanding of logistics software and systems.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and cost reductions.
