Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations and minimize costs.
- Oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply and minimize excess stock.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior logistics management role within the transportation/warehouse/logistics industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Solid understanding of logistics software and systems.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and cost reductions.
