Roles &
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that staff on duty adhere to Daily Shift Roster
- Overseeing of the Wash Bay Department. Teams must be set up the night before for the following morning based on the handover received from the Controllers.
- Ensures that Toolbox Talks are done prior to start of Shift.
- Co-ordination of the parking of Trucks and Tankers within the yard.
- Ensuring that all Wash Bay Staff are always PPE complaint, and all activities are conducted in safe and secure manner.
- Ensure that Staff who work in confine Space are correctly attired.
- Ensure that Staff who are Working at Heights have a proper Safety Harness attached to Lifeline.
- Daily in the Morning & Afternoon Liaise with Operations Team for Tanker Preparation
- Ensures that A Wash Bay Instruction Sheet is received and Completed prior to any tanker washed.
- Ensures that the Trucks & Tankers are washed, oversee each wash and quality inspections are Carried Out, which must be recorded, documented and provided to your manager.
- Works in conjunction with External Inspection Company to ensure Cleanliness and readiness of all Tankers.
- Ensures that all Pipes and Fittings are Washed.
- A Daliy record of All Tankers and trucks washed must be kept and Handed to National Operations Manager.
- A Daily record of Consumables Utilised and replenish Stock accordingly.
- Chemical Storage Cage must be Cleaned, Neat, Tidy and Secured.
- Ensure proper handling of all Chemicals, materials and store it appropriately.
- Ensures that there is a Record of all Residual Product Drained.
- Ensure that all vehicle equipment is in order prior to being dispatched.
- Ensure that Vehicles are fitted with the Necessary Placards prior to departure of each trip.
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with Warden’s accident reporting procedure.
- Ensure the yard area and entrance is kept clean, tidy and safe always and ensure that equipment is maintained appropriately.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment and prepare report to submit to National Operations Manager.
- Adopt Company Safe Working procedure.
- Regularly clear all debris and waste materials from the depot.
- Ensure that the wash bay areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Ensure that All equipment within the washbay is Correctly Stored in Designated Areas
- Continually maintain the cleanliness of the yard, car park and perimeter fencing.
- Encourage safe working practices. Correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.
- Perform other work-related tasks as required and assigned.
- Ensure that the yard demarcation and signage throughout the yard must be displayed, legible and visible.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
- Promptly and efficiently deal with the effects of congestion.
- Perform all general administrative duties associated with your responsibilities.
