About the Role

Van Schaik Bookstore is seeking two highly motivated Sales Assistants to join their team in East London. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in optimizing sales, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the book, stationery, and electronic sections of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize sales in the shop
• Maintain the book, stationery, and electronic section
• Handle customer enquiries: telephone, fax, and e-mail
• Apply the company’s customer service policy at all levels
• Process of new and inter-branch stock
• Customer service and processing customer enquiries at the pay point
• Maintenance of administrative processes (customer orders, pro-formas, enquiries)

Requirements

• Senior certificate
• Computer literate (MS Office suite) and MS Outlook
• Good communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette
• Proficient in English
