Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Temporary Project Engineer position in the Logistics Department – Production. 

The goal is to effectively plan, design, develop, and manage material handling systems and processes to ensure optimal material flow from the source to the point of use. This supports various projects, including Production, P&A, Localizations, and Export, in meeting their targets.
Additionally, it involves analyzing and managing Logistics Planning Contracts. 

• Plan and prepare detailed logistics material flow concepts for production and warehouse environments.
• Create detailed layouts, drawings, and job specifications for specialized facilities.
• Design and procure logistics facilities (e.g. stillages, pallets, trolleys, racking) based on project requirements.
• Define and coordinate detailed project plans for monitoring purposes.
• Prepare Enquiry Requests to obtain supplier quotations.
• Evaluate and negotiate adjudicated quotations from suppliers.
• Prepare appropriation requests to justify capital expenditures.
• Issue purchase requisitions.
• Arrange project/facility/service acceptance through equipment demonstrations and physical trials.
• Prepare budget prices for corporate investment programs and cost studies.
• Develop and introduce packaging specifications.
• Draft and update logistics material handling contract specifications.

• Degree or National Diploma in fields of either Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or Purchasing
• 3 years’ experience with logistics processes within manufacturing environment. 
  At least 18 months’ experience in Project Management

Essential:

• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter who is able to operate on his/her own requiring minimum supervision and able to operate under pressure.
• Good planning, organizing and decision-making abilities in order to meet tight deadlines.
• Able communicator with good written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency with producing, understanding and interpreting 3D CAD drawings.
• Full computer literacy in suite of Microsoft packages, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Word. Advanced excel skills required.

Advantage:

• Experience in automotive manufacturing environment
• Experience with SAP systems in Supply Chain Management 
• German language proficiency
