Credit Control – full function Cashbook – process receipts (payments/remittances) and balance to bank statement Monthly statements sent to the customer Timeously collect outstanding debt Customer copy invoices, signed POD’s and credit notes sent per customer requirements Reconciliation of accounts including cash accounts Liaise with the manager on outstanding accounts and send out list of overdue accounts to sales Manage customer POD and follow up on outstanding ones Ensure Customer Master data complete & accurate; All Credit Applications to be checked and authorized; Request increases of credit limits with the supply of relevant authorisation and documentation; Resuming legal proceedings if debts are not paid within an agreed time Maintain the entities credit policy Managing relations with collection agencies Maintain excellent customer relations Able to react to change productively & handle other essential tasks as assigned Ad Hoc duties reasonably falling within the employee’s skills, experience, and training. Grade 12 with minimum of 3 years Credit Control experience Strong computer skills (Excel and Word and worked on an ERP system before) Good numerical and reconciliation skills Must be able to function independently with a high level of accuracy and perform well under pressure Previous Distribution or Manufacturing industry experience an advantage
