Property Type: Exclusive wellness and healing farm with luxury hospitality offering Role Overview At this exclusive healing farm retreat, the Duty Manager/Host encompasses a title that reflects more than hospitality, but also presence, intuition, and accountability. The Host holds the rhythm and standard of the guest journey, ensuring every stay flows seamlessly with care, integrity, and excellence. This role is hands-on and guest-focused, requiring operational competence, strong organisational skills, and the ability to read the energy of the house while ensuring all departments work in harmony. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hosting Warmly welcome and orientate guests on arrival, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs. Hold and guide the guest journey, anticipating and responding to individual needs. Ensure departments are aligned for guest arrivals, departures, and key rituals. Oversee dining service, public spaces, and guest activity coordination. Manage guest purchases and record them accurately. House & Daily Flow Oversight Act as the connection point between guests and the lodge team. Ensure housekeeping, maintenance, and operations flow to the clients high standards. Identify and report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution. Support with activity set-ups and shared space readiness. Stock & Ordering Oversight Oversee monthly stock takes (Farm Shop, OE, amenities, candles, studio supplies). Place and manage replenishment orders in collaboration with management. Maintain accurate records on digital systems (Tall Order, Teams). Steward stock consciously, balancing readiness with sustainability. Operate in alignment with The Four Agreements : Be impeccable with your word Dont take anything personally Dont make assumptions Always do your best Candidate Profile Requirements: 23 years experience in FOH, duty management, or hospitality operations (luxury lodge/hotel). Strong guest relations and communication skills. Highly organised, detail-driven, and calm under pressure. Computer literacy (MS Office, booking/stock systems). Must already reside in the Franschhoek area (live-out role). Personal Attributes: Professional; presentable, and guest-focused. Warm and intuitive, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset. Strong work ethic and hands-on approach. Ability to guide and motivate a small, close-knit team. Package & Benefits Salary: R18;000 R25,000 per month (dependent on experience).
