HEAD CHEF: Luxury Accommodation & Dining / Franschhoek Wine Estate Overview: Our esteemed client, a distinguished Wine Estate, strategically situated in Franschhoek, has garnered acclaim for its exceptional wines and hospitality guest experiences. We seek a professional Head Chef to lead their culinary footprint. Prior experience in a Head Chef Role at a multi-outlet establishment is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years previous experience as a Head Chef, with a great passion for the industry, ability to create innovative menus, up to date with culinary trends and ability to lead and manage the kitchen operation effectively. We are looking for a candidate with a solid track record. Position Summary: Responsible for the consistent daily preparation of innovative country cuisine with a fresh contemporary touch of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the restaurant and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction. These contemporary dishes on the seasonal menus must be inspired by South African flavours but reflect the chefs own creative flair. Dishes should reflect elements of heritage. Good knowledge on Western Cape and South African food heritage will be an advantage. Additionally responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and manage areas of profit; stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training within the kitchen. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing guests satisfaction. Key Position Requirements A formal qualification in Professional Cookery At least 5 years experience in a Head Chef Position Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
