Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and professional Hotel Manager to join a renowned luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This position offers a competitive salary of R40,000 R44,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional service across all departments.

Manage and support departmental heads, ensuring standards are maintained in housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, and guest services.

Maintain a strong presence on the floor, ensuring consistent guest engagement and service delivery.

Drive guest satisfaction by handling queries, resolving complaints, and ensuring personalised service.

Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and team development.
-
Implement and enforce company policies, operating procedures, and service standards.
-
Ensure property maintenance and facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Work closely with the finance team to manage stock, procurement, and supplier relationships.

Ensure health and safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are upheld throughout all operations.

Assist in developing marketing strategies and initiatives to increase occupancy and revenue.

Foster strong communication and teamwork across all departments.

Represent the hotel in meetings, functions, and interactions with external partners when required.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 35 years management experience in a luxury hotel or lodge environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.

Strong understanding of guest service standards within the luxury hospitality sector.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in hotel management systems and MS Office.

Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused.
-
South African citizenship or a valid work permit.
