Travel Planner / Consultant Luxury Travel Company | Franschhoek Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Travel Planner / Consultant to join a luxury travel company based in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bespoke travel arrangements across Africa, ensuring exceptional service delivery from initial enquiry to post-travel follow-up. Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Key Responsibilities: Prepare quotations and manage travel bookings, including flights, transfers, and accommodation, from start to finish Make reservations for both portfolio and third-party properties Follow up on quotations regularly to maximise conversion and revenue Prepare all travel documents and safari planners, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmations Manage invoicing and payments in line with departmental requirements Ensure proficiency in travel systems and use them effectively for operational efficiency Rotate emergency phone duties within the team when required Maintain efficient administrative systems and processes Develop and nurture relationships with trade partners and direct clients to drive sales Achieve set service and revenue targets as defined by management Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure a seamless travel experience Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client and partner relationships Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in consulting and selling African travel Strong knowledge of African destinations and travel logistics Experience with travel planning systems is an advantage Ability to perform under pressure and work weekends when required Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills Positive attitude, creativity, and strong attention to detail Professional presentation and proactive work ethic Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Flexibility in working hours to ensure coverage when needed This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate travel professional to join a prestigious company and curate exceptional African travel experiences.
